I have to say I preferred it before restoration. I liked its half-there half-not quality. Great site – really glad I’ve stumbled across it.
Thanks for the comment Donna. I know what you mean about the ghost sign. When it was first restored it was a bit ‘in your face’. However I passed it last weekend on a rainy day and it had softened a bit so may weather well. Does raise the interesting question about whether a restored sign is still a ghost sign? Like you I prefered the half-there half-not quality.
