That looks like a buddleia colonizing. These photos are a few years old and it was when reading about Detroit in the press at the end of last week that prompted me to dig them out! Made me think of Detroit, too. But Kiss and Detroit Rock City rather than Ballard. Should I be ashamed of myself?!
